CRG Gallery is pleased to announce the inaugural screening of The CRG Open Video Series. The series will be ongoing at CRG as an invitational and proposal-based programming format. Each screening will be programmed/curated by a new artist or curator.

The inaugural screening is curated by artist Angela Dufresne of Monya Rowe Gallery. Her screening is titled: “INSERTIONS - At some point a dubious reality willfully invades the spectacle, craving a duel with itself.”, and includes single-channel video work by Phyllis Baldino, Beth Campbell, Nicole Cohen, Wendy Geller, Derek Jackson, Niki Kriese, Chris Larson, Leigh Ledare, Kalup Linzy, Shana Moulton, Carol Saft, Keith Sandborn, Ryan Trecartin, and Joseph Whitt.

The Open Video Series hopes to offer a unique site and forum for single-channel video work in a traditional theater-based viewing or cinematic form as an alternative to the more conventional gallery-based treatment of the medium.

The screenings are one night only and will take place every 4 to 6 weeks.

CRG / OVS has been organized by Glen Baldridge and Alex Dodge
